Haul from Shopper's

I knew that going into Shopper's Drugmart to drop off a parcel would be dangerous... Here's are some goodies I picked up after an hour in there... It started with the Rimmel Vinyl Lip gloss that was on sale for $3.99... then... yah...

Shopper's currently have a promo for Smashbox. Buy 1 item and you get the 2nd same item free (it could be different colours.) So I picked up two cream eyeliner, one in Lava and the other in Image... I am dying to try out Image!! It is a beautiful olive colour with slightly metallic look. As for Lava,  I'm wearing it by itself today as well as wear it with a reddish orange eyeshadow last night. Lava is a good colour for everyday/work, it is subtle, yet it's presence is obvious. Love the creamy texture and it seems to stay put after it dries (which takes about 60 seconds according to the instructions...) Regardless it's been on my lids for 3+ hours and has not yet budged from my oily lids. Bravo cream liner!!

and finally... I fell in LUST for this palette... actually... it was just the blue on the left, but since it only comes in the duo I had to get the palette...

Lise Watier in Bleu Océan. I'm am really itching to try out the colour! okies... that's it for today, thanks for reading :)

What's in my makeup bag?

Here's a quick update of the things in my makeup bag!

current MU bag from Melissa!! I <3 hot pink
all my essentials...
Band-Aid: I really need them around for the 'x' amount of cuts I get regularly (or the frequent nail flips)
Moist towelettes: These are handy to have around in case you need eat chicken wings!
ELF blotting sheets: oily face + oil sheets = happy face!
Nail filer +  tweezers: handy to have
Mirror: vanity, allows for constant admiration of 'thyself'
Shiseido Pureness matifying stick: smells and feels like deodorant for the face... but it helps matify the face
Benefit Pocketpal: lovely lip/cheek tint that give you that natural looking pink lips
Maybelline Mineral power concealer (in Sand): for touch up
Dior Diorshow brow styler (in universal brown): for days I forget to do my brows
Maybelline line Stiletto: for days I didn't have time to line my eyes...
Vasanti Conquer 3in1 stick: I love using this lipbalm almost as much as I love the EOS lipbalms, this however has the extra bonus of being a lip colour remover at the end of the day =)
ELF eye makeup remover pads: in case of smudges or other emergencies!
Shiseido Sun Protection Foundation stick: I love how this is portable SPF foundation that can be applied without a brush. Fits in the MU bag perfectly.
Clinique moisture surge: This is perfect in quenching the thirst of a drying face (I don't really need this, but I rather have it than not...)
Origins Sensory Therapy for Peace of Mind: when I need to relax.... like NOW!
La Roche-Posay Active C eyes: it has anti-wrinkle properties, but I use it mainly if I need to remove eye makeup or if I notice drying areas in the outer corner of my eyes

Some other beauty things in my purse..
In my purse I also have my MAC blot powder, Crown Brush kabuki and my EOS lemon drop lipbalm. These are three other essentials that does not fit in my MU bag =(

I know that I carry a lot of things, but because I'm a last minute girl and don't pace my time in the morning I end up having to work on my face throughout the day...It also doesn't help that I have a bad memory... So, as I have always told myself, 'it's better to bring everything and not have to use it, than not have what you are looking for when you need it.'

Purple lips with MUFE 12 Flash color case

I got the MUFE 12 Flash Color Case after seeing it on one of Michelle Phan's YT video and decided that I need it... yet... almost 2 months went by and I didn't have the heart to use it, until now!

Let me start by explaining why I finally decided to use it... I'm going to FanExpo this year and I plan to dress up as Psylocke from the X-men... Last week I dyed my hair purple... This week I need to find the right costume(which I'm doing today), the right makeup (trying that throughout the week) and... the right blade... (doubtful of finding.) It was a last minute decision to dress up as Psylocke, since I previously wanted to do Alice from the game Alice: Madness Returns.

Goodies from Auntie :)

My auntie and her son recently went on a one month trip to the states and she bought back a bunch of gooooooodies for both Roni and I! Here's a quick post sharing some gifted goodies from her and Eh-Lynn... :D

From all these goodies, I am really looking forward to the EOS mint lipbalm... I have been dying to try it out and this one is HARD to find. I found it once however I ended up gifting it to a friend who loves mint, since then I have not been able to find it anywhere... Until auntie gave me this!! :) I love the rest of the EOS lipbalm (especially the Lemon drop) so I know this will not disappoint!

I am also excited to try the Sephora Colour Wand for Lips-Blue... Really I am just excited to try the blue gloss XD

They told me they picked up the tree earrings from California. It is very pretty and light-weight, I am thinking about doing a makeup look inspired by them, but haven't decided on how to proceed... :) Ooohh! I worn the necklace, and it looks sooooo nice paired with a simple black top!

Have you received any goodies lately? :)

MUFE + Eyeliner + Sephora VIB Hatbox = Haul (also Sephora haul from last month)

The cute hatbox with goodies that lured me to Sephora Friday after work... :)
I received an email from Sephora for VIB appreciation weekend... and ended up buying more than I expected... I stepped into Sephora for the sole purpose of looking at eyeliners but swayed and stumbled upon MUFE aqua cream... I got a few swatches... and fell in love with 3 of them...

Celebrity Look: Ke$ha

Since I've joined Makeuptalk.com I've been dying to try out a "Dare to be" challenge... Last night I finally got the courage to try it out and here's my attempt for the Ke$ha challenge, enjoy!

Products used:

Eye:
MAC greasepaint stick in Black Slick
e.l.f. essential brightening eyeliner in Black
e.l.f. teal eyeshadow from the 'night palette' applied all over the black area
NYX Glitter cream in Ocean Breeze, shade 2 and 3 (aqua blue and black glitters)
Mascara.... none!! I forgot to apply it!

Face:
Skin Food Gingko Green BB cream
e.l.f. bronzer from the 'contouring blush and bronzing powder,' this was used to contour my face and the non-existence bridge of my nose
e.l.f. studio blush in mellow mauve
Clinique bronzer in sunkissed

Lips:
L'Oreal Shine Delice in Coffee Blast
Maybelline Volume Seduction Lip Plumper in 105 (Born with it)
- I failed to have nude colour lips since I don't own one... but now I am motivated to go out and find on, so that my collection feel so incomplete...

Overall this look was very fun to do. I especially liked the fact that it was asymmetrical because I find it hard to replicate the same thing twice (especially those cat eyes...) I'm so looking forward to the next challenge!
