Spring Warehouse Sale: H2O, Smashbox, Marcelle, etc...

Lisa's Cosmetic Warehouse Sale April 28, 2012 (Day 1 of the many warehouse sales I will be attending in the next 3 weeks)
After an hour wait in line, I got into Lisa's warehouse sale... Like last time, it was packed (not as bad as Shiseido warehouse sale) but it got warm fast because of the amount of people in there. This time around, there were H2O products on sale for half price, so unlike last time, I spent quite a bit on skincare instead of makeup.

So what's the damage?
tada!!!  no, not all mine...
Here's my haul :)
Some close ups~
Annabelle blushes, lip tint (that does not come off) and a pink eyeliner
Smashbox eyeshadow palettes and a stick blush
H2O skin care and eye makeup removers
Marcelle loose eyeshadow and a moisturizer with spf
Elizabeth Arden brush and some face capsules whitening thingy...
Finally some Sally Hansen randomness :)
I also got some chocolates too, as well as some body wash and Lysol wipes... It was very random... but I had a lot of fun :) Sorry for the very 'rush' feeling, I'm busy watching Em play Mass Effect 3 and I'm having trouble focusing on blogging... if anything is of interest to you and you want more info, let me know :) Thanks for reading!

Sasa Haul: Espie, JUJU Cosmetics, Sasatinnie...

So... After a stressful week of studying, I relaxed by placing my first order at Sasa.com.  Here's some pictures and first impressions on some of these products! Enjoy. ** Be warned, this post is picture heavy **
SK-II Basic Care Facial Treatment Clear Lotion (20ml) $5.40 - TBH, the only reason why I got this was because SK-II products are always so expensive and I did not feel comfortable paying so much to try out the full-size. Instead, since Sasa had this travel size bottle on sale, I decided to pick one up. Will see how long this 20 ml bottle will last and if I can see any results ^_^
sooooo tiny!
ESPIE Vitamin E + Aloe Vera Lip Treatment (3.5 g) $4.90
Here's a pictures of the ingredient list for both the Aloe Vera and the Milk Espie... on the Milk one it clearly stated beeswax, so I will stay away from that for now... But, since I can't read Chinese, I will assume the other one doesn't have it and proceed to using it :)
First impression: This lip balm does not have any distinct scent. It applies smoothly, is not sticky and leaves a satin finish. I used it last night and I've had no reaction on my mouth area.
clear swatch on my hand
ESPIE Vitamin E and milk lipcare (3.5 ml) $3.60

Swatches of my current Lippies : YSL, Lancome and Anna Sui

Hello pretties~~

Just thought I'd do a quick post sharing swatches of my current lippies... Including the clear Vaseline on the right ^_^
with flash
no flash
From left to right :) Lush Lip Tint - It started with a kiss, YSL Roughe Pur Couture Glossy Stain in 11 Rouge Gouache, Lancome Rouge In Love High Potency Color Featherlight Wear in 353M Rose Pitimini, Anna Sui Dolly Girl Lip Stick in 003, and plain old Vaseline!

I didn't realize that the first three colours were so similar until I swatched them on my arm. The YSL and Lancome are almost identical. Meh~~ the YSL lip stain is quite nice to wear, but I found not quite as glossy... I love the colour of the Lush lip tint, I just wish the scent wasn't so strong...

Okies... no more rambling ~~ Let me know if a detailed comparison is needed regarding texture, lasting power, etc... :)

7 Deadly Sins Beauty Tag

I stumbled upon this blog and thought it would be fun to do this tag and share it :) Enjoy~

1. Greed: What is your most inexpensive beauty product you love?
I love my ELF brushes, especially the eyeshadow brush, the powder brush and the kabuki brush.
What is your most expensive beauty product you love?

The most expensive beauty product that I am currently love is surprisingly a foundation (since I don't usually wear them), which is the Guerlain Lingerie de Peau. It looks lovely on the skin and smells divine!

2. Wrath: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Concealer, ie Benefit's Erase Paste. I love it when it stays on as it helps conceal my blemishes but so far I've been having trouble with it staying put in concealing my dark eye circles... It migrates too easily even when I set it with loose powder -__-

3. Gluttony: What are your most delicious beauty products?
EOS lipbalms... unfortunately I can no longer use them :( Or... for scent, I find that Lancome's Rouge in Love smells delicious, like rocket pop!

4. Sloth: What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?
TheBalm Mary Lou-Manizer. I love it, but if I felt lazy or was short in time, that would be the first thing I neglect.

5. Pride: What beauty product makes you feel confident?
Eyeliners. I have small eyes, so this helps give the illusion of bigger and more alert looking eyes.

6. Lust: What traits do you find attractive in the opposite sex?
hmm... how is this beauty? I have to say that scent and sexy broad shoulders for physical aspect and sense of humour and love for food for personality.

7. Envy:  What item would you most like to receive as a gift:
Naked 2 palette? Actually, some SkinFood or My beauty diary masks... Heard so much good stuff about them and have yet to try them out...

Thanks for reading this far, and you have been tagged :)

Guerlain foundation

Guerlain's Lingerie De Peau Invisible Skin Fusion Foundation SPF 20 in 02 Beige Clair
Foundation ON
This silky smooth foundation applies on like a dream... After applying on a thin layer of product, my face is pretty much evened out, however some blemishes are still visible.

Guerlain's LDP gives an effortless air-brushed look that is long lasting, not cakey, and does not emphasize my pores. This product feels and looks very much like my skin but better. I prefer thin layer and light coverage, but it is definitely build-able.

Since I have combination skin with an oily T, I love the fact that this is a one step face product, as I do not need extra face primer or setting powder. After about 4 hours only one sheet of blotting paper will suffice to remove excess oil from my T zone.

This is the most expensive foundation I've purchased, but after trying it out twice I knew I couldn't go back to my regular BB creams or foundations. It looked good in person or in photographs and is so light weight that I forget I have a foundation on. I think I have found my HG foundation :)

Scent? it's so lovely, light floral, I think it's violet :)
